Frequently Asked QuestionsFrequently asked questions about I-M Health. What is the aim of I-M Health? I-M Health is designed to give an accurate and comprehensive
assessment picture of a person's biological age and current state of health. I-M Health highlights an individuals area of their body that could be causing issues to
a persons health. I-M Health can ascertain whether individual treatments or protocols are working, and therefore, if they are helping to address the
persons issues. I-M Health is the ultimate diagnostic system for a preventative medicine practice, general health practice
or individual. I-M Health can show reversing and controlling
of ageing and health, helping to prevent diseases and disorders in the years to come.
No matter what practice your clinic is adopting, whether they be hormone replacement therapy, acupuncture, reflexology or nutrition etc., I-M Health shows you quickly, and easily how an individuals program performs. How many test inputs can I-M Health currently handle? I-M Health is currently capable of inputting over 95+ measurements, these are made up of physical, blood, urine and cognitive tests. Do you need to do all the measurements to use the I-M Health system ? No, it is not necessary to undertake all the tests. The most vital measurements are the biomarkers, however, we recommend that the patient include the general health indicators, because the more measurements that are included, the more accurate an assessment of the patients health. What is the difference between a biomarker and general health indicator? Biomarkers can be used to determine the biological age of a patient, and are the results of human clinical assessment, and represent a sample with a clear association with ageing. Additionally, they result in a relatively narrow standard deviation, and are supported by multiple complementary research studies. The biomarker research used is between the ages of 30 to 70. General Health Indicators are captured and recorded by the I-M Health system providing information about the general health of the patient. The information gathered can be used to view changes over a period of time, hopefully, showing an improvement in the health of the patient. The indicators may also be used in the future to reveal unseen health trends in the patient. General Health Indicators may not be accurate to help capture the biological age of a patient. However, general health indicators are known markers of some disease and disorder, and therefore should be captured and recorded for future reference. How were the actual scientific parameters used in I-M Health decided upon? The initial basis of the research was ascertained from Dr. Ward Dean's book Biological Aging Measurement. I-M Health also used further published clinical research, referring to biomarkers since 1988. In all, it is estimated that over 2000 published clinical studies have been evaluated, referring to more than 100,000's of patient data. How much work went into the development of I-M Health? I-M Health has been developed over the years by a development staff including statisticians, doctors and software designers. I-M Health is a very significant investment in the diagnosis of aging and health. Is I-M Health a complete system for preventative medicine centres ? I-M Health is an extremely valuable tool, and helps to streamline the clinical operation by evaluating patients health, the system itself is designed to be flexible, and unlike other systems, there is no tie-in, no compulsory use of products. As preventative medicine is very individual, I-M Health allows this to be the case, as each physician and each patient will have their own ideas about what should be applied in the way of treatment. I-M Health provides some advice and guidance, the clinic is free to apply whatever further tests and protocols that it sees fit. I-M Health can be used as a complete system, (a system that caters for all the proven markers of aging and records 95 plus results), it can also be used as part of an even bigger package. I-M Health is therefore able to be as big or as small as your clinical requirements need. When will I-M Health be updated? One of the advantages of I-M Health over other systems is its ability to collect data on a global basis, this data can then be evaluated and new relationships (and new biomarkers), can be identified. Accordingly, each time members log into the system, they are benefiting from the latest information and updates. I-M Health is constantly updating the data. The system is updated regularly, and updated when new biomarkers have been establish, or when new information is available. Every time a person logs into the system, if there are any software or content updates, they will automatically be added to the system. How was the advice and guidance organized? Advice and guidance is based on the ability for a given substance or protocol to alter an individual biomarker, either in an upward or downward direction. As the unique visualisation reports of I-M Health indicate if the patient is over, under or about the same as their chronological age, you can then act on that information. The decision can then be made whether to increase, or lower an individual marker (i.e. LDL and HDL cholesterol). The advice and guidance then offered, comes in five parts: Lifestyle: This currently includes anabolic, aerobic and flexing exercise, diet (low carbohydrate, low fat, high protein and reduced calorie), drinking water and exposure to sunshine. Nutrition: This section is described as natural substances that can be found in the diet, i.e. vitamins, minerals and amino acids etc. Hormones: This section is described as chemicals made by the body, i.e. DHEA, Human Growth Hormone and Melatonin etc. Drugs: This section covers international medicines, but the accent is on preventative medicines and alternative uses etc. Miscellaneous: This section covers anything not able to be defined by the above.
Advice and guidance can be chosen by individual category, or in an order of potency, (first listed being the most potent). We do not listed trade names, and in each case we have listed the clinical references, so that the proven uses for any products in question can be checked for yourself. |
