I-M Health do not make recommendations, but provide choices for health care professional to manage a patients health, if the treatment is not listed in the I-M Health system, the health care professional can input their own treatment or advice. The goal of the I-M Health advice and guidance is to provide information that can alter or address an individual biomarker or health indicator. The criteria used to evaluate potential preventative medicines is as follows: The evidence of its action is based on international published clinical evidence. It has a proven safety record. It is known to be efficacious. It has been in use by anti-aging, preventative, alternative medical health practitioners for a reasonable period of time. Enough information is available to indicate potential adverse side effects and contraindications, as well as its beneficial aspects.
The I-M Health advice and guidance groups substances into one of 5 categories: Drug, (a substance that is not found in nature). Hormone, (a substance that is manufactured within the body). Nutrition, (any natural substance that can be found in the diet which includes amino acids, vitamins, minerals and herbs etc.) Lifestyle, (diet, exercise and other environmental factors such as water consumption and exposure to sunshine etc.) Miscellaneous, (anything that can't be included easily in any of one of the above categories).
The categories have been chosen strictly by the criteria listed above. Because the I-M Health system is international, we have not tried to group them by legal regulatory requirements, i.e. as prescription, controlled or over-the-counter items etc. This was decided because it is too complex to decipher the different regulatory categories for the world. For example, the adrenal hormone; DHEA is currently an over-the-counter substance in the USA, but it is a prescription item in most countries, and in some countries, such as the UK, Canada or Australia, it is a controlled substance. We would like to stress that in all instances, trade names are avoided in the I-M Health advice and guidance section, and that chemical names were used wherever possible. In all cases the references of the clinical published results, are shown at the end of the entry. Furthermore, the clinic is free to incorporate any, all or their own products and protocols into the system.
The above screen shot shows the main advice and guidance screen, previous to this screen is a screen that the health care professional may choose any of the suggested products and protocols for the biomarker or health indicator in question. (at present, the suggested products and protocols are in order of potency to treat the specific biomarker in question). In the above example the health care professional has selected Centrophenoxine as the advice for Forced Vital Capacity. The advice and guidance screen provides the health care professional, the name of the treatment, in this case Centrophenoxine, an overview of the treatment item, the brand (the brand is input by the health care professional, I-M Health does not recommend brands of products) the dosage, including fraction and unit, frequency, application, the period of treatment, treatment notes and patient notes, (treatment and patients notes are input by the health care professional). The information contained within this screen is then printed in the advice and guidance report for the patient to take home with them. I-M Health also allows the physician to go back to the patient's details at anytime and see what advice and guidance was offered for each visit.
